Rasam
Ingredients
- Rasam Powder
- One Tomato
- 1 table spoon Tamarind
- Salt,
- turmeric,
- hing,
- black pepper powder,
- cumin powder
- Curry Leaves
- Mustard,
- cumin seeds
- 1 or 2 Red Chilli
Directions
- Add oil to the pan. Temper it with mustard, cumin seeds, one red chilli and curry leaves
- Add one tomato cut into small pieces and keep sauteing it
- Add one garlic, cut into small pieces and keep sauteing it.
- Add turmeric, hing, salt, cumin powder, black pepper powder to the pan and keep sauteing it.
- Add a little water and add one spoon tamarind paste
- Add the rasam powder
- Add 2 more cups of water and let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes
- Add cilantro leaves and turn off the oven
