Rasam

Ingredients

  1. Rasam Powder
  2. One Tomato
  3. 1 table spoon Tamarind
  4. Salt,
  5. turmeric,
  6. hing,
  7. black pepper powder,
  8. cumin powder
  9. Curry Leaves
  10. Mustard,
  11. cumin seeds
  12. 1 or 2 Red Chilli

Directions

  1. Add oil to the pan. Temper it with mustard, cumin seeds, one red chilli and curry leaves
  2. Add one tomato cut into small pieces and keep sauteing it
  3. Add one garlic, cut into small pieces and keep sauteing it.
  4. Add turmeric, hing, salt, cumin powder, black pepper powder to the pan and keep sauteing it.
  5. Add a little water and add one spoon tamarind paste
  6. Add the rasam powder
  7. Add 2 more cups of water and let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes
  8. Add cilantro leaves and turn off the oven
