Spicy Dip for Idly/Dosai (Kara Chutney)
Kara Chutney
Ingredients
- Onion
- Tomato
- Channa Dhal
- Urad Dhal
- Red Chilli
Method
- Add oil to the pan and fry red chilli, urad dhal, channa dhal
- Add chopped onion to the fried ingredients and saute it till it is transparent
- Add chopped tomato to the onion and keep cooking
- Let it cool and then grind it to a coarse paste in the grinder
- Add Salt to taste
- Season it with mustard and curry leaves
