Chicken Varuval
To Fry and Grind
- cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, red chilli (if available coconut)
- Dry fry the above items and grind it to coarse powder
Cooking
- Chop the onion and saute them till it is transparent
- add ginger garlic, turmeric, salt and chicken to the onion and fry
- Add a little bit of tomato, slit green chilli and keep cooking
- Add the ground powder from the above steps to the pan
- Add chilli powder and coriander powder to the pan.(mom’s sambhar powder works too).
- Add curry leaves
- Add cilantro once it is done
- Keep adding water till it is fully cooked and the final product should be little bit dry
