Chicken Kuzhambu (Chicken Gravy)
Directions
- Heat the kadai and add a 1 tbsp oil.
- Add fennel, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon sticks, curry leaves and biriyani leaves.
- Now add the green chilli, onions and cook till the onion is transparent
- Add Ginger/Garlic paste to the onion and cook till the smell goes away.
- Add the tomatoes and cook them till it gets mushy.
- Add the cut chicken pieces to the onion.
- Add turmeric, salt, mom’s chilli powder, and mix it well
- Add some water so that the bottom doesn’t get burned out.
- Add fennel, poppy seeds to the boiling kuzhambu
- Add cilantro leaves.
