Tomato Dokku

Ingredients

  1. Cinnamon (bark not the powder)
  2. Clove
  3. Fennel Seeds
  4. Bay Leaf
  5. Curry Leaves
  6. Onion (2 medium size)
  7. Tomato (4 medium size)
  8. Green Chilli
  9. Salt
  10. Turmeric

Directions

  1. First chop onion into very small fine pieces.
  2. Get oil in the pan ( 5-6 teaspoons. you can have generous amount if you think it is not enough)
  3. Once it is hot add cinnamon, clove, fennel seeds, bay leaf and curry leaves.
  4. keep stirring till it turns brown.
  5. Add chopped onion and saute till it turns brown and transparent.
  6. Now add chopped green chilli, turmeric and keep cooking.
  7. Now add sliced tomato pieces to the pan and keep cooking. add some water.
  8. Now add salt to taste.
  9. Keep cooking till all the water evaporates.
