Chicken Kuzhambu (Chicken Gravy)

Directions

  1. Heat the kadai and add a 1 tbsp oil.
  2. Add fennel, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon sticks, curry leaves and biriyani leaves.
  3. Now add the green chilli, onions and cook till the onion is transparent
  4. Add Ginger/Garlic paste to the onion and cook till the smell goes away.
  5. Add the tomatoes and cook them till it gets mushy.
  6. Add the cut chicken pieces to the onion.
  7. Add turmeric, salt, mom’s chilli powder, and mix it well
  8. Add some water so that the bottom doesn’t get burned out.
  9. Add fennel, poppy seeds to the boiling kuzhambu
  10. Add cilantro leaves.
