Meen Kuzhambhu (Fish Gravy)
Directions
- Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, cumin, fenugreek and curry leaves.
- Add onion, ginger/garlic, slit green chilli and saute it until the onion is transparent
- Add finely chopped tomatoes and saute it
- Add the tamarind paste, mom’s chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste and let it boil till the smell of the chilli goes away.
- Now add the fish pieces and let it cook. this cooks faster.
- Add the pepper powder and let it cook for some more time and then turn it off
