Milagu Rasam

Ingredients
- Mustard
- Red Chilli
- Asafoetida
- 1 Tomato
- 2 to 3 Garlic Cloves
- 10 to 12 curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp of turmeric
- 1/2 tsp of chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp of cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp of pepper powder
- 1 tsp of tamarind paste
- Salt to taste
- Cilantro for Garnishing
Directions
Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard, Red Chilli and Asafoetida and wait for the mustard to crackle.
Now add one tomato cut into medium pieces and couple of garlic cloves cut into small pieces
Once the tomato gets mushy, add curry leaves, 1/4 tsp of turmeric and 1/2 tsp of chilli powder
Add small amount of water if the bottom starts to brown
Now add 1/2 tsp of cumin powder and 1/2 tsp of pepper powder
Add 2 cups of water and 1 tsp of tamarind paste.
Add salt to taste
Let it come to boil in low flame and turn it off
Garnish it with Cilantro
