Rava Upma

Ingredients

  • Rava
  • Ghee
  • Mustard
  • Cumin
  • Chana dal
  • Urad dal
  • Cashew
  • Onion
  • Green chilli
  • Ginger/Garlic
  • Curry Leaves

Directions

  1. Roast rava in ghee or dry, till aroma comes. don’t let it turn brown
  2. Remove the rava and let it cool in a container
  3. Add Oil or ghee to a pan and start heating it up
  4. Add Mustard seeds and wait till it crackles
  5. Add cumin to the pan
  6. Add chana dal and urad dal wait for it to brown
  7. Add cashews and let the dal turn golden
  8. Now add finely chopped onion and let it saute till it becomes transparent
  9. Add chopped green chilli, finely chopped ginger and curry leaves and let it saute
  10. Add water to the pan
  11. Add salt to taste
  12. Once water is boiling add rava
